  • Is it safe to use in rain?

    IP65-rated protection is achieved when all port covers are properly secured, allowing reliable operation in wet and dusty environments.
    For optimal performance, keep the unit sheltered from direct rain when ports are in use to help prevent moisture ingress.

  • Does the Explorer 1500 Ultra support pass-through charging (charging and powering devices at the same time)?

    Yes. The Explorer 1500 Ultra supports pass-through charging.

    You can charge the power station via AC or solar while simultaneously powering your devices. This is especially useful for home backup, job-site use, or continuous operation scenarios.
    In UPS (bypass) mode, the system automatically switches to battery power within 20 ms during a power outage.

  • Does dust or sand affect long-term performance?

    No, not under normal use. The sealed IP65 structure prevents dust ingress, and the bottom-mounted, detachable metal base allows the cooling system to be cleaned if needed. This design avoids the dust buildup problems common in traditional side-vented power stations.

  • Can it handle devices with high startup power, like power tools or compressors?

    Yes. This is one of its key advantages. The Explorer 1500 Ultra delivers up to 3600W surge power, with peak output lasting significantly longer than typical portable power stations. This allows it to reliably start devices with high inrush current—such as saws, grinders, pumps, and refrigerators—without tripping protection.

  • Can I leave the Explorer 1500 Ultra plugged in all the time for home backup?

    Yes. The Explorer 1500 Ultra supports long-term plug-in use and pass-through charging. When connected to wall power, it can supply power to your devices while keeping the battery maintained. In the event of a power outage, it automatically switches to battery power within 20 ms.
    For battery health, the built-in ChargeShield™ 2.0 system manages charging behavior to reduce stress on the battery.

  • Can I use this power station with medical devices, life-support equipment, business-critical systems, or other essential equipment?

    For safety reasons, Jackery portable power stations are not recommended for use with medical devices, life-support equipment, data servers, or other applications where a power interruption could result in personal injury, loss of life, or significant property damage.

    We do not recommend using this product to power equipment such as:

    Medical devices or any equipment related to life support or personal safety.

    Critical public infrastructure or public service equipment.

    Business-critical equipment, including data servers and other systems that require uninterrupted power.

    Any other equipment where a power interruption could lead to serious safety risks or significant property damage.

    Although Jackery products are designed to provide reliable power, interruptions may occur due to battery depletion, overload protection, environmental conditions, or other unexpected factors. For this reason, we do not recommend using the product for life-critical, safety-critical, or mission-critical applications.

    In addition, individuals with an implanted cardiac pacemaker or other implanted medical devices are advised not to use this product, as stated in our safety instructions.

    For your safety, we do not recommend using Jackery products for any of the applications listed above.

  • Why the solar can not produce 200W power when charging to Jackery power station?

    As you know , the solar panels are affected by many factors. such as the intensity of the light and the angle of the panel put on the ground. 200W is tested in an ideal laboratory. However, the intensity of the light constantly changes. In addition, the angle of the light illuminating the solar panel also changes with the rotation of the sun. Please try test your solar panel under the full sunlight to see, and make sure there is no shadow cast on the panel.

  • Is the solar panel waterproof?

    It is rated as IP68 water-resistant, offering protection against water splashes (Please avoid exposing it to heavy rain or submerging it in water).

  • How to clean the solar panel surface?

    We mentioned this point in the manual. Please use a soft cloth to remove the dust and dirt on the surface. Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface of the solar module to remove any remaining dust or dirt. Any guano or other adhesive should be removed as soon as possible from the solar surface to avoid a reduction in performance.

  • How long is the Warranty?

    Jackery provide 3+2 year warranty for SolarSaga 100 Prime. A 5-year total warranty (includes a 2-year extension) for Jackery website orders. The extended warranty would be applied automatically if purchased from official website.

  • What's in the box?

  • Is this product waterproof?

    Dust and dirt on the surface should first be removed using a soft brush. Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface of the solar module to remove any remaining dust or dirt. Any guano or other adhesive should be removed as soon as possible from the solar surface to avoid a reduction in performance.

So far so good

We've charged our new jackery once with the solar panels, and used it once on a camping trip to heat water a couple of times. Very nice not to have to light a propane stove. So far so good and looking forward to more fun camping with the Jackery.

Bring Duct Tape

I bought this unit along with the 200w solar panels through one of Jackery's online dealers Off Grid Stores or OGS. We bought this combo along with an ICECO VL 45 PRO S fridge for a 10 day trip in Moab.
The issue we had was with the 12v dc port or car port/cigarette lighter port. It worked fine with the iceco male end at first. This changed after I bought a 12v dc splitter so that I could run my fridge and awning lights at the same time. The splitter worked but just barely, it had to be just right or no go. Here's the real problem, after using the splitter and going back to the iceco male end only IT DID NOT WORK AT ALL. Nothing, something about using the splitter changed something. So I was stuck with running the fridge off of the fussy splitter. I had to duct tape the splitter into the ultra to make a reliable contact. I couldn't risk my fridge not running while dispersed camping in Moab in 90 degree plus heat.
I thought,dang, well at least I'll get a replacement unit when we get home....... Nope. Jackery said " replacing the unit will not resolve the car port charging issue" and they went on to mention irrelevant stuff like insertion depth and what not.
So I gather from their response that having an iceco fridge male end NOT WORK AT ALL with Jackery's car port is considered a functioning unit and having to use duct tape to hold in a splitter to run my fridge in the desert while overlanding is an acceptable way to operate this unit.
Ridiculous. Lame from both Jackery and their affiliate OGS. I don't recommend this unit, unless you ready with the duct tape.

Clicked and turned off first time, OK thereafter

The first time using the Jackery 1500 Ultra it made a clicking noise and shut off. It worked the second time I used the power station. I will continue to monitor it and hope it was an anomaly.

Update: I have continued to use the 1500 Ultra without issue. It has not turned off unexpectedly. I have not tested charging with solar panels yet but AC works fine. Jackery contacted me after my first review to offer assistance which is great customer support.
