Spotted these at Costco and picked up 3 of them. One for my fridge, one for the upright full size freezer, and one for my entertainment center. Our power goes out very frequently, and I have been looking for something like this for quite some time. The power has gone out briefly twice since I bought them, and they work flawlessly. Actually, the only way we knew the power had gone out was the toaster oven beeping when it came back on. The television never even flickered.
One big improvement that needs to be made is the unit needs to be ambidextrous. I hung these on the wall with the optional hanging brackets. Both my fridge and my freezer required it to be hung on the right. When you do that, the display and power button are hidden and the power cords are visible. The unit needs to be designed so that it could be hung on the left or the right. Another improvement I would make is to attach some sort of power cord strain relief to the unit itself. I ended up using P clips to attach the cord to the wall. Lastly, my fridge power cord has a flat plug that turns slightly to the right. Once hung on the wall, this cord would not fit, the wall was in the way. I ended up ordering a new power cord that had a straight plug.
I once had to throw away all of the food in my fridge due to an extended outage. These units bring me tremendous peace of mind.

Price is too high. Not slightly but extremely too high. You'd be better off throwing everything away and buying new if your fridge lost power. It costs as much as a new fridge - crazy!
Can this be installed in a garage which regularly gets above 100 degrees with higher humidities and will it shorten the life of the battery?

We do not recommend installing, charging, using, or storing the unit in a garage that is regularly hot and humid. Jackery products are not fully waterproof or dustproof and should be kept away from high-temperature and high-humidity environments.
High temperatures can reduce charging efficiency and may trigger temperature protection. Extreme temperatures during storage are also a battery-degradation risk. Please install and store the unit in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and humidity.

Why would you need an expansion cable with the fridge guard and fridge guard battery pack?

Can it be placed “face down”?
The plug for our fridge angles the cord in a way that keeps the Jackery from sitting flat on top of the fridge.

If power is out for longer than 3 days, I can take it to somewhere that has power to charge it. How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

The Jackery FridgeGuard supports AC wall charging, solar charging, and car charging. When using AC wall charging, it can normally be fully charged in approximately 1.5–2 hours from an empty battery, depending on charging conditions.
