    About Explorer 100D

    • Why does the power output decrease?

When the internal temperature of the product becomes too high or too low, the 100D will automatically reduce the charging or discharging power to protect the battery and ensure safe operation.

A temporary reduction in power is a normal safety protection mechanism and does not indicate a product malfunction. The power will gradually return to normal once the temperature returns to the normal operating range.

    • Why does the charging power not reach 140W when using a PD charger?

The USB-C port on the 100D supports a maximum input power of 140W. However, the actual charging power may vary depending on the charger, USB-C cable, PD charging protocol, battery level, temperature, and current operating conditions.

When charging the 100D with a 140W PD charger while simultaneously powering other devices, both the input and output power are limited to a maximum of 100W.

    • How do I charge low-power devices such as smartwatches and earbuds?

Some devices, such as smartwatches and wireless earbuds, require very low charging power.

Press and hold the DISPLAY button for 3 seconds to activate Low-Power Charging Mode (Power-Saving Mode), then connect your device for charging.

    • What is the difference between the C1 and C2 USB-C ports?

The C1 port supports both input and output, while the C2 port supports output only.

To charge the 100D, connect the charger to the C1 port. The C2 port is only used to power or charge external devices.

    • How do I charge the 100D with a solar panel?

The 100D supports charging with 40W and 100W solar panels.

To charge with a solar panel, a USB-C to DC8020 adapter is required. Connect the USB-C end to the USB-C1 input port on the 100D and the other end to the solar panel.

    • Why does a 100W solar panel not provide 100W of actual charging power?

The rated power of a solar panel, such as 40W or 100W, refers to its maximum output under ideal conditions. Actual output varies depending on sunlight conditions.

On cloudy days, in the early morning, when the panel is not positioned at the optimal angle, or when it is partially shaded or exposed to high temperatures, the actual charging power may be lower than the rated output.

    • Can the 100D be charged through a vehicle's cigarette lighter socket?

Yes. The 100D supports charging from 12V and 24V vehicle cigarette lighter sockets.

A USB-C to DC8020 adapter is required. Connect the vehicle charging cable to the USB-C input port on the 100D using the adapter.

    • Why is the actual charging power lower when charging from a vehicle's cigarette lighter socket?

The actual charging power may be affected by the vehicle's electrical system, cigarette lighter socket, vehicle charging cable, and charger specifications.

As a result, the actual charging power may be lower than the product's maximum input power.
