FAQ

Not every Jackery product requires professional installation. However, home backup systems and high-capacity units (like the Transfer Switch) require electrical assessment, dedicated circuits, permitting, or complex wiring. If required, Qmerit will assign a Qmerit Certified Installer to ensure safe, code-compliant execution.

All installation work is performed by independent Qmerit Certified Installers—licensed, insured professionals vetted directly within the Qmerit platform. Jackery is not responsible for any misuse of personal customer information by third-party installers.

The standard installation service covers connecting the Jackery Transfer Switch distribution box to your home's existing load center. It does not include wiring for solar panels or photovoltaic (PV) systems. Installers reserve the right to decline custom requests beyond the standard installation scope.

Costs vary based on home electrical conditions, wiring distances, panel capacity, and local permit fees. Qmerit will provide a customized quote before work begins. Applicable municipal permit application fees will be itemized in the quote and paid directly by the customer.

All financial transactions are paid directly through the Qmerit platform. Jackery does not handle or process installation fees. If you decide to return the Transfer Switch after installation due to dissatisfaction, paid installation service fees are non-refundable. Additionally, all costs associated with removing the Transfer Switch and initial on-site evaluation fees remain the customer's sole responsibility.

If the installer discovers unexpected electrical or structural conditions during the on-site assessment, they will contact both you and Qmerit to present solutions and adjust the installation scope or quote accordingly before proceeding.

Please check your Spam folder first for notification emails. If there is still no response, or if the scheduled electrician is delayed or cannot be reached, please contact Qmerit Support or Jackery Customer Service promptly to assist in rescheduling or assigning a new installer.

Product Defects/Hardware Faults: Contact Jackery Customer Service directly (hello@jackery.com). Jackery handles hardware warranty, returns, and replacement shipping.

Installation Workmanship Issues: If problems occur during or after installation related to wiring or execution, the installer or customer should contact Qmerit and Jackery Technical Support immediately for assistance.

Self-installation should only be performed if you are fully certified and qualified. Jackery and Qmerit assume no liability for personal injuries, product defects, or property damage resulting from voluntary DIY installation, failure to meet prerequisites, or services performed by unauthorized, non-Qmerit installers.

Installation services are commercial contractual arrangements between the user and Qmerit/installers. Jackery provides high-quality energy storage products and the access portal, and reserves the final right of interpretation regarding these service terms.

Installation Terms

Installation-related services are provided independently by Qmerit and/or Qmerit Certified Installers—licensed, insured professionals vetted directly within the Qmerit platform. All technician screening, background checks, and compliance tracking are managed directly by Qmerit. The installation service is a commercial contractual arrangement solely between the user and Qmerit/installers. Jackery is not a party to the installation contract and assumes no responsibility or liability for installer pricing standards, field performance, or any misuse of customer personal information by installers or unauthorized service providers.

The standard installation service covers connecting the Jackery Transfer Switch distribution box to the customer's existing home load center only. It does not include wiring, connection, or setup for solar panels or photovoltaic (PV) systems. If the customer requests custom wiring for solar panels or PV systems, or if on-site conditions exceed standard safety parameters, the installer reserves the right to decline or reject the order during consultation, booking, or on-site evaluation.

Basic installation service fees cover standard on-site survey and installation work. Final setup costs may vary based on individual home electrical conditions, wiring distance matrices, panel capacities, and specific municipal permit documents or structural fees required by local jurisdictions. Additional costs for materials, custom electrical work, or permit application fees will be itemized in the electrician's actual quote and billed separately based on actual usage. The customer is directly responsible for paying the installer/Qmerit for any additional costs incurred.

Customers handle financial transactions and pay Qmerit directly for all on-site installation work. Jackery’s financial framework does not process, manage, or hold any installation-related service fees.

On-Site Assessment Fee: An on-site assessment fee charged by the electrician may be waived if the electrician deems the home suitable for installation and the customer does not request a refund of the installation service fee. If the on-site assessment determines the home is unsuitable for installation and the customer chooses to return the Transfer Switch, the cost of the electrician's evaluation shall be borne entirely by the customer.

Refund and Removal Costs: If the customer opts for installation services but later decides to return the Transfer Switch after installation due to dissatisfaction, paid installation service fees will not be refunded. Furthermore, all costs associated with the removal and uninstallation of the Jackery Transfer Switch shall be the customer's sole responsibility.

Self-installation (DIY) should only be performed if the customer is a fully certified and licensed electrician. Jackery and Qmerit shall not be held liable for any personal injury, product defects, equipment failures, or property damage resulting from:

  • Voluntary self-installation by the customer where preconditions or technical requirements are not met;
  • Installation, repairs, or after-sales modifications performed by unauthorized, non-Qmerit certified installers.

The resident/customer shall assume full financial and legal responsibility for any after-sales service, repairs, or damages arising from unauthorized installations.

Jackery provides high-quality backup energy products and access to this digital linkage portal. Jackery does not perform, directly manage, review, or supervise on-site residential infrastructure or field engineering work. Jackery assumes no responsibility for any consequences resulting from the electrician's installation services. Jackery reserves the final right of interpretation regarding these installation service terms and fees.
