Jackery SolarSaga 200W Solar Panel

I’ve invested $8k+ now in the 2000 Pro base unit and 5 battery modules. A few issues: one of the two the battery solar (multiport) devices melted (replacement was handled quickly): Bluetooth disconnect (software issue) can be frustrating. And finally, the Jackery pricing structure is confusing and not consistent, eg., the initial package that I purchased was offered for $700+ less a few months later. The rep told me that price matching was only good for 30 days…not a good pricing structure…at all.

Perfect! Amazing product that charged my Jackery 2kplus in 2.5 hours from 65% to 100%. This is awesome! You now can literally go anywhere and never have to plug in anywhere.

I purchased the Jackery 2000 plus with an extra battery pack and 6 200 watt solar panels. Planned dual use. To keep home for power outages and take with me camping to power up my travel trailer.

What I liked:
The packaging and build quality seemed to be very good. I really liked the packaging. It was up to Apple standards.

Customer service was great. I could actually call someone that was USA based and ask a question. That was so very helpful. I tried to call Anker when I was shopping and couldn’t get through.

What I didn’t like:

Max output of 30 amp plug is only 25 amps.

Max output of 200 watt solar panel without extension cord was 168 watts on a 100 degree day in full sun with no obstructions. Adding one factory extension cable dropped that number from 168 watts to 151 watts and with two it dropped to 126 watts. They probably need heavier gauge wire for their cables.

Panels were well packaged but seem to sag in the center when set up. So some design improvement may be warranted here to make them a little bit more sturdy.

So they need some work raising their output closer to their 200 watt rating and perhaps their perceived durability.

Extra battery fit on top of main unit but didn’t attach and was sort of in the way of the expandable handle. The expandable handle was also plastic and didn’t feel all that solid.

Main unit was heavy at 60 plus pounds and would require two people to put in a pickup for many people or would need some sort of ramp.

Cables and adapters are cumbersome since they require extension cables for each panel versus being able to group several panels together and then run one extension cable from a common adapter.

Would like to see a 400 watt panel option so you don’t have to buy as many panels, but would like to have the watt output of any new versions to be much much closer to the rated wattage.
