  • The waterproof level of this product is IP68. This product can prevent daily water splashing. In order to ensure its service life, please keep
    the product dry on a daily basis and don't soak the product in water or other liquid.

  • Dust and dirt on the surface should first be removed using a soft brush. Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface of the solar module to remove any remaining dust or dirt. Any guano or other adhesive should be removed as soon as possible from the solar surface to avoid a reduction in performance.

  • This multifunctional solar charging cable is only suitable for charging the Jackery SolarSaga 40 Mini (including inbox version and sole version) and should not be used with other solar panels

  • The cell type of SolarSaga40 Mini is PERC. Compared to conventional solar cells, PERC cells have an extra layer on the back of the cell. This extra layer captures more sunlight and converts it into electricity, making PERC cells more efficient than conventional cells.

Explorer 5000 Plus Review

Loving the Explorer 5000 Plus with 4 extra batteries so far. Super simple to set up and use. There is some nonsense in the instruction manual about disassembling MC4 connectors from the solar panel to be able to connect to the power station, but my power station came with MC4 connectors attached to it ready to plug in the solar panels. The access panel and door to the MC4 connectors is also a bit of a nuisance as the door is kind of in the way and it is really hard to unplug the MC4 connectors in the small space. Lastly, wish the extra batteries were not “smart” batteries. That is, I wish they did not have electronic controls required to be able to “turn them on” to supply power. As confirmed by Jackery, if those controls break or get fried, as might happen from an electromagnetic pulse, the batteries won’t work. Oh, and I love the fact that a 240 volt output device like the 5000 can be charged from a 120 volt outlet. This works great for my application.

Review of SolarSaga 40W solar panel

Have had the panel only a couple weeks, but so far so good. I have used the USB-C and the USB-A ports to charge several devices. Of course, the time required depends on the intensity of the sunlight, but the panel works well. I plan to use this panel while camping and possibly backpacking. Construction materials seem pretty good and durable. I rated it 4 stars only because I do not have any long-term usage on it to see how well it holds up over time, and I do not have a way to measure its full power output on the DC port to see how close we get to its full capacity rating of 40W.
